Scope of the Company
Defence communications has for the last decade played an important role in EIDEL business. The main product has been in engineering and interfacing between bigger systems. This is a sector which has a local application aspect and seems to be outside the scope and interest of the larger international equipment manufacturers.
The target groups of the company's products are the defence-, automotive-, aviation-, and the space industries. The company is operating on the international market.

Existing Markets
EIDELs main business areas are defence communication and security, data collection and space.
Within defence communication EIDEL have two innovative products; these are the Remote Crypto Distribution System (RCDS) and the Radio Control System (RCS).
The telemetry activity is based around our decoders, encoders and solid state recorder. These products can be combined and/ or configured to fulfil the different requirements the customer might have.
The products have been used for a wide range of applications within airplane testing, UAV, data collection and presentation, test instrumental package and data analysis.
Our space activity is based on a natural evolution of our telemetry products. We deliver ground infrastructure and are also involved in TT&C.
EIDEL have delivered space qualified equipment to ESA.
In general, EIDEL market through larger companies and also through representatives. By doing so EIDEL is represented around the world.

Production & Production facilities
Production in numbers beyond prototype production is normally subcontracted. The availability of sub-contractors with required quality assurance systems has proved to be good.
Final assembly, testing and burn-in are taken care of in-house.
EIDEL moved into a new building in October 2000. This is new built premesiss, dedicated to our requirements and increasing the floor space from 800 to 1500 m², all sets up to meet the requirements of a modern electronics company. The building will among other special facilities, have a clean-room for production of space equipment.
EIDEL's strength is products and system development and tailoring, and the required manpower and tools for this is available and up-to-date.
Quality Assurance
In our pursuit for higher quality we have implemented a Quality Management System (QMS) The QMS is in accordance with international standards like AQAP 2110 and AQAP 150, these are in turn based on ISO standards.
The QMS is divided into three volumes; the QMS Quality Policy Manual provides summary level information, the QMS Quality Handbook is intended for our project managers and engineers. It provides more detailed information about the QMS.
The QMS Processes contains the processes and procedures which fulfils the QMS Quality Handbook. It is related to task-specific documents, templates and work instructions that form, by extension, a sub-part of the QMS document set.
