| Eidsvoll Electronics AS (EIDEL) inngikk den 3. mars 2010 en følgemiddelkontrakt med Norsk Romsenter (NRS) på å ferdigstille prototypen av "Remote Communication Link Security System" (RCLiSS). RCLiSS er en effektiv krypteringsinfrastruktur som tilfører data- og kommandolinker - frittstående datalinker så vel som komplekse nettverkstopologier - konfidensialitet, integritet og autentisering med minimal overhead i datakanalens båndbredde. Systemet håndteres av en sofistikert management-applikasjon som gir operatørene riktig informasjon til rett tid. RCLiSS er i første omgang tiltenkt brukt på AISSat-2 når denne satellitten blir prosjektert. EIDEL har hatt fortløpende studiekontrakter på utvikling av denne prototypen siden 2007, og prototypen er planlagt ferdigstilt i tredje kvartal 2010. Denne kontrakten gir EIDEL konkurranseevne inn mot ESA prosjekter og muligheter for spin-off innen industri- og forsvarskontrakter. |

| EIDEL signed a support contract with the Norwegian Space Centre the 3th of March 2010 for completion of a prototype of the "Remote Communication Link Security System" (RCLiSS). RCLiSS is a complete link security and guard system, preserving the confidentiality, integrity, and authentication attributes of end-to-end communication links as well as complex network topologies. The RCLiSS functionality is based on high security embedded cryptographic processing, local key synchronisation, rapid rekeying schemes , and a sophisticated and system-wide key management; which provides the operator with correct information at the right time. Different modes of operation cater for a variety of user platforms. The first target platform for RCLiSS is the next generation Norwegian AIS satellite; AISSat-2. The Norwegian Space Center has provided support contracts for this system since 2007. This Contract gives EIDEL a competitive edge in ESA pursuing contracts, and spin-off effects towards industrial and defense applications.
